Called to walk alongside women who lead.
Who is Mely?
Diamelys "Mely" Gonzalez is a Christian leadership coach, speaker, worship leader, and founder of Vita Nova, a Christ-centered ministry helping women in leadership build lives that sustain their calling.
With more than a decade of ministry experience, Mely has served across women's ministry, worship, outreach, youth ministry, and pastoral leadership alongside her husband. Her own journey through leadership exhaustion and questions of identity and calling shaped a conviction that now anchors her work: God is far more concerned with the woman you are becoming than the platform you are building.
Today, Mely creates intentional spaces for women to slow down, deepen their intimacy with Christ, strengthen their identity, and establish healthy rhythms for faithful, sustainable leadership. Her approach is personal, Scripture-rooted, and shaped by both spiritual formation and her lived experience in ministry.
Beyond Vita Nova, Mely is a pastor's wife and mom who treasures family, faith, and the beauty of an unhurried life. When she isn't coaching, speaking, or leading worship, you'll likely find her with an iced coffee in hand, tucked away with a good book, wandering a farmers market, or baking something at home. At the heart of it all, her desire is simple: to faithfully steward what God has entrusted to her while helping other women do the same—without losing themselves, their families, or their intimacy with Jesus along the way.
Grounded in both faith and practice.

Women were never meant to carry ministry—or life—alone.
Vita Nova began with a simple desire: to create a place where women in leadership could find genuine community, meaningful support, and space to tend to the woman behind the calling.
As the vision grew, the Lord brought Mely to the story of the woman at the well in John 4—a woman who came carrying her jar, encountered Jesus, and left differently than she arrived. Her story became a quiet picture of what Vita Nova exists to offer.
We believe Jesus is still meeting women at the well—inviting them to leave behind what they were never meant to carry and step into new life.
That is the heart of Vita Nova.
What we believe about leadership.
The health of a ministry is deeply connected to the health of those who lead it. At Vita Nova, we believe faithful leadership begins within—through a life rooted in Christ, grounded in truth, and sustained by healthy rhythms.
Scripture as Our Foundation: God's Word anchors our decisions, shapes our leadership, and brings clarity to our calling.
Identity Before Strategy: How you lead flows from knowing who you are in Christ.
Community Over Isolation: Healthy leadership is strengthened through honest relationships, wise counsel, and meaningful community.
Rest as a Rhythm: Rest is not earned after the work; it is part of how we faithfully sustain it.
